I'm not talking about I started exercising or eating properly. I mean like literal "life hacks".
For example – I kept forgetting to water the grass so I bought an automated irrigation control panel. Now at 5.15pm, the sprinklers come on and water the grass for 7 minutes every evening. One less thing for me to think about.

I stopped participating in any kind of drama 10 years ago.
I cut dramatic people from my life.
I’m so much happier
Move more
Eat less

Got an air pump for my car like 8 years ago. I’ve used it many times on my tires, coworkers, roommates, and even a few strangers. It runs of the 12v plug so no need to work about charging it.
I got in the habit of scanning and uploading any important files (bills, etc) to Google drive the second I get them in my hands. Saved me a few times trying to find documents.
Also the habit of putting social event dates and bill deadlines in my calendar. Could be a kids bday 3 months away. Reminder a week earlier to get a gift, check with host the location and time is still right, and meeting invite to myself for the actual event. Takes seconds to do. Avoids future stress
I kind of Steve Jobs’ed my wardrobe. I have all the same underwear, same socks and a range of pants and T-shirts of the same design, different colour. Even have two pairs of the same shoes. I no longer have to worry about miss matching socks, that pair of underwear that is the least comfortable or which pair of pants to choose. It’s not much but it’s one less set of decisions for the day.
You should water your grass in the morning to avoid mildew growth.
When my old vacuum cleaner finally was broken to the point of no return I got a robot vacuum. Just one less chore to have to do helped a lot.
Also, anyone that had a built in excuse like “oh that’s just joe being joe” when the ignorance of youth was covering up that it should have been “oh joe is a selfish asshole who causes problems everywhere he goes” I stopped associating with.
Lowered debt and increased income.
Paying off the car and not getting another payment. Instead, we just save a bit more to fix the car if it needs it.
Combine that with a few raises and you suddenly have a significant monthly surplus.
Unlike my adult children, I use my phone’s calendar and tasks list.
Therapy
Keep a toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower
Got a cleaner and a gardener, saves me hours a week and they do a better job
Smart lights. Fingerprint door knob. Blue light glasses. A high-quality gaming chair.
Simplifying your life where possible is a game changer!
For example, I buy the same plain black socks and black underwear. Seems like nothing, but it means I never have to put in any thought. It’s automatic now.
Similarly with the rest of my wardrobe I’m in the process of simplifying things. Like most of my clothing is going to be made up of plain white T-shirts, tan chinos and darker jeans, all of which can be worn in combination and have things added to them to dress up or down etc.
It’s easier to win an argument with your spouse if you look good naked.
