So I’m in the dating app. And so there’s a few guys that I gave my insta and we follow each other. But I just observed, when we stop talking, just because the talking just didn’t progress or I know it wouldn’t be a match because of a detail.
They always add me to their close friends and that’s why I can see their stories, which I am confused

That seems weird. But what do you mean by “that’s why I can see their stories”
Honestly some ppl use close friends like a soft backup lane. Not close enough to date, still close enough to keep attention nearby. I’ve seen this a lot with social media dating. I wouldn’t overread it or give it value it hasn’t earned.
Either they’re still keeping you in a “maybe” state or they are interested as having you as a friend/follower. I guess the easiest way to know would be asking them, but then again, this is a really passive behavior, so I don’t know if they’re ever going to be direct about it.
Because things didn’t develop but you stay as close friends.
They might what you to see things they post without everyone seeing it. Like posting something about you or to you specifically.
