My family had some Hotspot this Thanksgivings day. The wasabi flavoring helps give some of the bland beef some kick. Apparently, real wasabi is hard to grow, so most wasabi found outside Japan is made from substitutes. This is a food insider video on [it](https://youtu.be/Ej7jx0x_MR0?si=dHdfvnsDig0OuWtu).
Happy first Advent to those who celebrate. I need to make a cookie game plan. I also had an epiphany about a Christmas themed painting… I need to do some brainstorming about it.
My mom sent me some local news from Eastern Turkey about some fossils of sea creatures being found… On a mountain! This is something that’ll never cease to amaze me about Turkey. You can go for a mountain hike at 2000m altitude and find seashells and fossils from creatures that lived in a warm, shallow sea 50 million years ago. It’s so awesome.
What 21 year old drives a Renault Clio 1.2 GTi Sport? Well, apparently my daughter does. She’s got her mind fixed on the damn thing. Because it’s red. Flame red, to be specific. I can’t find a fault with the car, test drive was good, so she’s got our blessing. Not that she needs it anyway, it’s her money. Kid’s got a better car than we do. 😀
In Denmark we have these annual christmas calendars (TV series) which usually feature their own designs on the hats that nisser (elves are the closest in English, but they’re not quite the same) wear.
As December is approaching, people begin to wear them around. It’s such a nice mood. Today, I saw a hat from one of the most classic and famous of the calendars called [“Pyrus”](https://imgs.search.brave.com/81JyswigYgbMNBCoglXOcFlQfl0Jmu6IjGoNvjKmqXE/rs:fit:860:0:0:0/g:ce/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWdp/eC5iaWxsZWRibGFk/ZXQuZGsvMjAyMi0x/MS0yNS9zb3Jlbi1o/YXJ0dmlnLXR2LTJh/LmpwZz9hdXRvPWZv/cm1hdCxjb21wcmVz/cyZmaXQ9bWluJmNy/b3A9ZmFjZXMsZW50/cm9weQ) (the hat being the one on the right) and from a big one from a few years ago called [“Tinka’s Juleeventyr”](https://imgs.search.brave.com/SXaMUfFFOD83RrGKyDHXmbLbEcqK9GUMvKt-Vw2yT28/rs:fit:860:0:0:0/g:ce/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWdp/eC5iaWxsZWRibGFk/ZXQuZGsvMjAyNC0x/MS0yOS9Gb3RvLS0t/QWduZXRlLVNjaGxp/Y2h0a3J1bGxfVFYt/Mi5qcGc_YXV0bz1m/b3JtYXQsY29tcHJl/c3MmZml0PW1pbiZj/cm9wPWZhY2VzLGVu/dHJvcHk) (Tinka’s christmas adventure)
I always look forward to seeing the different ones I recognise, and as we slowly progress into December proper, I’m sure more people will find their hats
