Our organisation has an intranet-site, ofcourse just like all organisations. But whenever a former employee dies, they get a memorial-page on our site, where people who worked with the deceased can write condolences and memories. Doesn’t matter if one retired decades ago, everyone who worked for the organisation gets their site. And I know it sounds silly, but it kinda gives me a warm feeling that, one day, I too will have my own page.
I read that the attorney asked for a sentence several thousand years of jail for Imamoglu… for nothing. Even his lawyer was sent to jail for “gathering evidence on behalf of his client” and “defending the best interests of the client” (I am not making it up). The whole country has turned into a fucking dystopia. If you read something and think, is it really that bad? It is way worse.
And people still don’t seem to get just how grave it is. It’s insane.
I just read a newspaper article about advent calendars.
They have all kinds these days, some of them are truly bizarre.. there’s one with packets of different types of instant mashed potatoes behind every window, for example 😉
Do you usually have an advent calendar at home? If so, what’s inside it? Chocolate, just pictures or something different?
I went past an airsoft store downtown. You know, those guns that shoot the little plastic pellets? This store was a block away from the railway station, on a street paralleling the main street. Like, *so* downtown. It’s crazy to me that an airsoft store can survive there. It’s not a huge city after all, the downtown serves maybe like 350-400 k people. But enough of them apparently do airsoft for there to be a brick and mortar store at such a central location. How much do they need to sell every month just to pay the rent? To be fair, it didn’t look like a large store, and the side street it was in is kinda dead, but still.
The slogan on their window had a typo though.
God it’s been cold lately. It’s getting to be soup season
