I recently discovered the world tram driver championships, and the Las Vegas car window tinting competition.
I would love to know about some unusual competitions that happen in your country!
For example, in Ireland we have the national ploughing championships. The fields are judged on the straight lines, how level, how neat, etc.

Those aren’t really unusual, it’s not uncommon for trades have a friendly competition and celebration of skill. WorldSkills is the biggest tournament.

There’re the Downhill Kicksled (*spark*) World Championship in Hurdal and the regular Kicksled World Championship in Geilo each year

In Denmark they have a competition whereby they throw green marsipan cakes called Kaj kage. Not sure if that still exists.

There’s a town called Llanwrtyd Wells in mid-Wales that reinvented itself as a centre of “weird sports”.
