Blame Thatcher for inventing these, I guess
They’re getting worse. Portion sizes have dropped massively whereas the price has sky rocketed
Even worse is the 99s are no longer 99p… Just tiny squirts of overpriced whippy for 3 quid.
I stopped getting ice cream from the ice-cream man when the portions sizes got tiny and a 99 cost £3.50. Then was the (far too late) realisation that a magnum is just a choc-ice with a stick in it. Now I just get the knock-off Cornetto’s from Lidl.
The ones we get locally are great there’s both a chippy that sells them and a van.
They’re not run by dedicated men anymore. It’s just a guy with a van
Love a Mr Whippy, I’ve had a few over the years that were just disguised frozen yoghurt with no flavour whatsoever
They were the dogs bollocks years ago. I remember having them as a kid, talking almost couple decades ago. Had one a couple of years ago and they were noticably smaller, not sure if theyre even smaller now.
Blame Thatcher
Costco (from the food counter) is surprisingly decent for Whippy-esque ice cream – and a decent portion.
I saw a 99 (no flake) for £4 this weekend!!!
I nearly phoned the police to report daylight robbery
I got a screwball earlier for £1.30 all the sprinkles. Could be your location I’m in North east Manchester.
