One of my friends told me that she disliked honey because it was very sweet but not sweet. I asked her what that meant but she just told me it’s very sweet but not sweet. Does anyone know what it means? I am having a mental breakdown figuring it out

  1. Not a man, but this makes no sense. Maybe she senses bitterness or something. People are different or maybe she had grapefruit with it the first time and can’t forget that?

  2. As I understand the word very sweet but not sweet, the food is sweet but it does not contain sugar. I hope it helps you.

  3. Honey has a distinct flavor in addition to sweetness.

That’s probably what she’s reading as “not sweet.”

  4. Sweetness is strong but not overpowering, like eating raw sugar. Kind of like how drink mix makes alcohol still taste like alcohol but softens the harshness that makes you wince when drinking it straight up

    Edit: autocorrect

  5. *”What does “very sweet but not sweet” mean?”*

    EXACTLY that.
