What is the best story in your life story so far?

  1. Having my dream job at 21 after years of working towards it and sacrificing a normal young adulthood

  2. I went to Goa with my girl friends when I was severely depressed & down with anxiety disorder. I was on medication for the same. I had 0 expectations from that trip. I didn’t even want to take it but my friends pushed me into it & we went.
1 night we went to a karaoke club & my friends forced me to sing & I did (I’ve practiced music) & suddenly felt like I was back to life. People liked that performance of mine. They clapped. Later I noticed that the DJ over there was singing very well. Being an introvert, Idk how I got the courage to do so but I just went up to him & asked him if he’ll sing Shallow with me. He agreed & after a long wait of 10 mins he asked me to come forward & we started singing. I can’t express in words how emotional that moment felt for me. I’d always imagined singing shallow with someone in front of huge crowd. After our performance everyone cheered for us. I was absolutely SHOOK. I thanked the DJ, hugged my friends & thanked them for making such a beautiful moment happen for me. It is 1 of the best stories of my life.

  3. So, once upon a time I was in the US Navy, stationed on a carrier floating around in the Pacific somewhere. My job was to debrief pilots that had just come down from flight exercises, and I was quite good at it and very happy with it. Because pilots are susceptible to food and often starving after their flights, I had been ordering giant bags of Jelly Belly jellybeans to bribe them with. They worked really well.

Now that the scene is set, we were at the tail end of the deployment and my candy supplies were wearing thin. The commanding officer of one of the squadrons came in to debrief and took some candy as he talked. I wrote everything down as per usual, and thanked him for coming by. He then reached for a second helping of jelly beans.

    I smacked his hand.

The junior officers in the room froze. The CO stared at me with his mouth open a little. My face must have went fire engine red in less than a second.

“Sir,” I said, “this is all I’ve got left and we still have two more to come down today.”

He looked at me and then smiled. “All right, that’s fair,” he said good-naturedly and left.

Cue the JOs freaking out, end scene.
