Philosophytube. Ok, it’s more of a YouTube channel than podcast, but I still love it.
Maintenance Phase (hosted by a woman and a man) and You’re Wrong About (currently hosted by a woman)
I’m a big fan of Oologies hosted by Alie Ward. It does an episode or two with an expert on a specific subject. It doesn’t do deep dives, but it’s inspired me to go down an awful lot of rabbit holes.
Science vs. is pretty good! They cover a wide variety of topics.
I love Esther Perel and Brené Brown
You’re Wrong About
I like Sawbones, which is hosted by a female physician and her husband.
Maybe it’s cliche to suggest one about the menstrual cycle but I really enjoyed 28ish Days Later, hosted by India Rakusen.
This Podcast Will Kill You is the best if you’re interested in medical podcasts.
Gastropod. I haven’t listened to it in quite awhile but they do interesting stories about food, history, and science. I wish I could remember some favorite episodes to recommend.
Lovers and friends podcast by Shannon Broodram.

Stuff You Missed In History Class!
Lingthusiasm is great if you’re into linguistics
Not Just The Tudors – Tudor period history hosted by Suzannah Lipscomb . It covers a lot of ground with different historians every episode.
Tiny Matters from the American Chemical Society. It’s very science-y, which is not usually my jam, but Sam and Deboki make it super approachable.
I enjoy Noble Blood hosted by Dana Schwartz.
Betwixt the Sheets about the history of sex, scandal and society.
I loved Every Little Thing, but it’s been cancelled. You can still listen to the episodes though!
Science Vs by Gimlet. Interesting and varying topics, pretty short so it gets right to the point but you still get a bit of an insight.
Not just the Tudors is really good if you like European history!!
I have a podcast called Women Vs Everything. It’s down on some hosting sites at the moment, but is still available through Spotify
Erika taught me is by this female attorney and money expert and is pretty informative.
History of the 90s. It’s a great podcast to learn about recent history.
I found Unf*ck Your Brain educational, though it’s more along the lines of self help.
I’m loving the OverlySarcastic Podcast. It’s hosted by Red (woman) and Blue (man) and they mostly do videos about mythological stuff, myths, old stories and history. Both of them have a specific interest (Red loves mythology and Blue mostly does historical things) and it’s so interesting to hear them talk about their research and the stories. Their YT is even better, Red animates their videos and it makes the whole experience funnier.
I like “Sounds Like a Cult”, they cover different cultural phenomena (diet culture, peloton, youth groups, etc.) and explore the concept as it relates to how cultish it is. It still has a lot of interesting information on the subject.
Brain Science with Ginger Campbell, MD 👏👏

Pantsuit politics! Two female lawyers (and friends!) who are on opposite sides (one is more liberal, the other more conservative) discuss politics and news. So educational, respectful and I always learn something! Cannot recommend them enough.
Kaidan: Japanese Scary Stories. It’s an absolute gem, loved all the stories they shared!!
The financial diet is a great podcast for finance nerds. I love listening to a wide variety of perspectives and picking what I like and resonate with from them and applying it to my own life.
Secret Life of Canada
Nice Try!
Pick Me Up I’m Scared
You’re Wrong About
American Hysteria
Emperors of Rome (most common expert who’s on 90% of episodes is a woman, the other host/interviewer is a man)
Modern anarchy is a new fave of mine. So incredibly interesting with content that really makes you think
You Must Remember This by Karina Longworth. All about old Hollywood and film, providing cultural and historical context.
I studied film so I consider it educational though not everyone would.

History tea time with Lindsay Holiday. She has a podcast and a YouTube channel, she does historical videos and explains the lives of popular monarchs, forgotten queens, etc. I’m a big history nerd and her voice is so soothing!
Let’s Talk About Myths Baby if you’re into learning about Greek Mythology
Dope Labs Podcast!!! Hosted by 2 black women scientists who are also best friends. So good and they’re hilarious
