London is 12+ million people, so yeah, tons of progressive churches among the many many churches.
Very very very rare that even non-progressive churches have ‘hellfire’ stuff.
It’s all lovey-dovey these days.
More or less all churches in London are diverse, because the population of London is diverse.
Any denomination preferred? High or low?
If you tell me which bit of London you are in, I might be able to suggest.
I’ve not been to church for many, many years. But it might be worth checking out HTB (holy trinity Brompton), I think it’s in South kensington but can’t quite remember. From what I remember that would probably do what you’re asking
Are you British? I ask because the majority of churches in Britain are soft and progressive that you would have to actively seek out churches where the vicar or priest acts out the “fire and brimstone” type sermon.
EDIT: In fact i think churches with more POC would be the more hardline than the ones filled with old white congregants
Metropolitan Community Church is probably what you want – large gay contingent, people from varied backgrounds.
If the leader is called a pastor, that often signals some of the less-friendly evangelical sects.
Which religion?
Progressive church sounds like an oxymoron to me
