Not participating in Black Friday was a pretty damn good deal
Black Friday sales have been going on since October. I got a Fire TV for my parrots to watch for 100 bucks.
I got a great deal on Thanksgiving leftovers! The price was great, but the selection was kind of picked-over.
I bought a UPS, but it wasn’t on sale. I’ve been looking for six months, finally managed to open up space in my rack, and pulled the trigger. That was my sole purchase on Black Friday. The “deals” were largely crap from what I saw.
I got 25% off the jeans I was going to buy anyways
50% off Dutch oven then I cooked a pot roast 🙂 we only brought pie home from Thanksgiving so I wanted a roast for leftovers. It’s not a fancy Dutch oven so I’m glad to not grossly overpay for industrially produced enameled cast iron.
Stayed home and didn’t buy anything. The savings were incredible.
Didn’t really need anything. I did buy a scraper spatula and scraper spoon. I’ve been thinking about replacing mine for a while because they were super flimsy and went with professional kitchen grade.
Got deals on streaming services that I use. Paramount plus 50% off the annual price. And Peacock 99 cents per month for a year.
I’ve never shopped on Black Friday and I never will. I keep my butt at home.
I tend to get most of my holiday shopping done on Black Friday actually.
Got my wife her gift (that I was planning on getting her anyways) for 25% off, got my mom a nice Patagonia sweater for 20% off, my dad a turntable for 30% off, my brother some Japanese records for 10% off, my sister in law some cups for 20% off, and my sister in law a fishing pole for 20% off.
Overall I got everything I was planning to buy anyways but saved about $150 versus what I had seen them priced as in the preceding months.
I bought a bed that I had been planning to buy anyway at a discount, as well as a mattress that was $300 off. This was all online though.
My company has a paid holiday on Black Friday, so the best deal I’ve received is 8 hrs of pay for 0 hrs of work
Two pairs of flannels priced at $10 and two pairs of jeans priced at $12.
$6 citywides at Billy Murphy’s Saloon
My annual Black Friday shopping tradition has only one must-have: the all-store buy three get three sale at bath & body works. I got a LOT OF CANDLES. I’m usually well-stocked for most of the year after that trip.
I bought some cheap yet amusing ornaments at Five Below
