My boyfriend and i have been dating for able 4 months now. He has a female best friend who is married and has two children. Recently though, my boyfriend has been complaining about his female bf and her husband not wanting to text or hang out with him much anymore. We have been hanging out for about two weeks now, and he had went to a party at his fmbfs house, but I didn’t go because I had work early in the morning the next day. My bf had planned to stay over there if he got too drunk (we had talked this over) but he didn’t end up staying and got an Uber home to fall asleep with me. Come to find out, female best friend got mad at him for leaving the party early and canceled all plans that were made for this trip we wanted to go on. This isn’t the first time she’s gotten mad at my bf for not coming to hang out with her, or leaving a party early and almost blaming me for it. The first time this happened, the next day she blamed me telling my bf that she “couldn’t believe you’re with someone who tells you what to do.” Yet we had communicated to each other before the party that we would only stay until midnight.
I just feel like fmbf has some odd thing against me and seems oddly attached to my bf. I haven’t been around her enough to judge it more, but I can tell that my bf is even acting like he dosent qant to be around her for very long.

She sounds jealous of you. Why would she be so controlling with him if she is married? She wants more with your bf and can’t have it now.
I mean if I had managed to make an event; sort childcare; and arranged for my best friend to stay and then they left by midnight because their new partner didn’t like it I would be a bit pissed off.
Fair enough if these rules work for you two, but I can see how an outsider would view you as quite controlling and jealous.
I’d be pissed if my best friend let some chick they’ve only been dating for four months dictate their behavior.
I’d ask them where their self respect had gone and why they were with someone who didn’t trust them.
