Ladies who lives in small and uninteresting towns, what do you do on weekends?

  1. Either work, since we work every other weekends at my job. Or catch up on house chores, go visit my parents, and go grocery shopping

  2. Catch up on household duties/ yard chores. Do laundry. Go to the farmers market and grocery store. Make a meal plan.

  3. When I did live in a small uninteresting town I made friends with neighbours for more local fun as most of my friends lived an hour drive away. The neighbours were no my typical crowd as some were older and but gee they were fun

  4. grocery shopping sa merkado to fill up the fridge, prepare a special lunch/dinner, videoke on the afternoon, go to church on sunday

  5. Same thing as people in big cities, just less people and sometimes we have to travel further.

We got a nice coffee shop, we have a theatre and a book store, we have museums on things you’d never think anyone would want a museum for, we watch local high school sports, we party, we have a few restaurants, sometimes we travel to the city also.

For me pwrsonally, I really like to spend one day at home cleaning, catching up for the week, and either going out to eat or catching a movie and then on the other day I usually drive about an hour or so to a more populated area to do some shopping or go to a museum type of activity.

Edit: I did forget to mention that we have lots and lots of bars. I’m pretty sure it’s like an ordinance that small towns must have 1 bar for every 10 people.

  6. I work Saturdays, but in Sunday and Monday: Sleep in, take my dog to the park, play disc golf with my coworkers every Sunday, catch up on errands, clean etc. I’m usually pretty busy since I don’t really have time during the work week due to abnormally long hours

There’s not much in my little college town, but once in awhile there will be some local bands and basement concerts, garage rock/folk/punk.. similar to old cage the elephant. They go hard.

  7. I live in a city but honestly don’t know how that changes anything. I usually run errands such as grocery shopping or any other shopping i need, i study, i meet friends, i go to the gym, i do self care like doing my nails, i clean, i watch netflix, …. Nothing super exciting.

  8. As someone who was born and raised in Philadelphia (which is about 90 minutes from NYC), that had a parent that abruptly decided that cold weather was too much for her, and moved to a small retirement town in Florida (about 40 minutes from Orlando), there was NOTHING for young kids/teens to do on the weekends, and even now, still doesn’t have much. When I was there, your only options was the local park, the skating rink, or Disney. Going from a place where I could jump on a bus with my cousins and head into the city to a place where the only exciting thing is a playground, after about a year, I was demanding to go back to my dad in Philly.

  9. Household chores, day out with the family (plenty to do within 60-80 min drive), go for coffee, drinks, dinner or lunch with a friend/s, shopping or cinema 20-30 mins drive away, go for a walk, read, watch TV/movies at home, help kids with homework, out for dinner with the family, until recently I was studying so spent a lot of time on that at weekends, browse the web. Less often, go away for weekends to other places.

  10. The historic downtown is cute so will wander and windowshop, sit in the town green by the river, go for a bike ride on the trails they have connecting all the parks. There is a historic theater I have yet to go to but I hope to catch a show there someday.

  11. I live in a rural area, near a small uninteresting turn. I do the same thing I’d do if I lived in a big, interesting city…

Stay home, don’t interact with humans. Same as weekdays.

  12. Nothing. Literally nothing, I hate it. I’m definitely a person who needs to be in a busy place. Usually I’m just on my phone and reading, even playing video games. So basically I just sit there😭

  13. Drive 2 towns over and hang out with my friends.
Right now I live in a college town, but my family lives in a village (yes, village) with a population of 164. There’s a church and 2 vending machines. The end.

  14. I am a nerdy online type so it’s online games and streams with friends and sometimes alcohol in the evenings. During the day I do some housework and sometimes go for a walk.

  15. So I think my town is less interesting than LA or NYC but it has positives. I’m in Northern California and there is a ton of outdoor stuff to do here, so I go hiking along the river, swimming in the lake, sometimes you can go to the ocean on a day trip. An average weekend would be exploring outside, meeting up with friends, swimming in a pool (hot as hell here), maybe going to the library or a bookstore.

  16. Aside from going to the gym, I play a lot of Breath of the Wild (second playthrough after not touching it for two years).
