That doesn’t sounds likely. I wouldn’t care if CNN were owned by Brits. I have a lot more respect for the BBC than any of the American news networks. They can only go up from here.
Why would the government of the UK buy a commercial network in the USA?
The BBC has a well respected international news service. They would be duplicating what they have with a weaker product by acquiring CNN. American cable news (particularly Fox) and the news industry in general is “shite,” as my British friends would say.
Isn’t the BBC still funded by a television tax? So why would they use that money to buy another news service? There seems to be a lot of political ramifications if it were to happen, which I doubt would.
CNN International and CNN are different things.
CNN International isn’t complete garbage.
CNN is complete garbage.
I wouldn’t mind it. It can’t get worse. Zucker created a sh*t show of a network.
I fucking wish someone with actual integrity would buy a media channel. All I want is one mainstream news channel that isn’t biased as hell. Just one, is that too much to ask for?
CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC news are all saying the same thing which is why they are all hurting. CNN is attempting to break out by saying something different from the others but it may be too late and they may just revert back out of sheer habit. News stations are there to sell commercials, not educate you.
