This is for everyone that spends too much time on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Etc..)

honestly stop listening to social media..

Example 1: It literally gives you a place to compare and contrast your relationship with others.

Let’s say
Alexa’s husband works 10 hours a day, and at least once a week he’ll come home with flowers for her. He also takes her out on a date 2-3 times a month. Alexa loves her husband and the relationship.

And

Monica’s husband works 8 hours a week, but he’s always too tired to stop after work and buy her flowers. They have kids and daycare is too expensive so they barely go on dates, but her husband still works his ass off to provide the family and he loves her. so Monica loves him and the relationship.

But then Monica see’s Alexa’s post about everything her husband does for her.. now Monica is mad because her husband works less hours and doesn’t do half the things Alexa’s husband does. Now she’s unhappy.

(Everyone is different, comparing and contrasting is only going to make you miserable. If you’re happy in your relationship F*CK everyone and whatever they have going on.)

Example 2: Social media makes people’s expectations a little high

I Read a post that said “If they love you they’ll buy you flowers, without you having to ask”

(Um no.. all girls are different. I literally had a best friend who would of course accept flowers if gifted to her, but it wasn’t something she “always” dreamt of or desired. People can’t read your mind, regardless if they love you or not you should at least give hint that you want/like flowers. Don’t expect someone to just buy you flowers like in those old cheesy movies. I mean hey I know there’s people out there who would buy you flowers without you having to ask, but NOT EVERYONE will.)

  1. Absolute truth.

You know when you go to a cheap restaurant that has dozens of options on the menu and you just can’t make your mind up and feel like you’ll be disappointed and wish you had something else? That’s what social media can do to relationships. Always thinking there’s something better rather than being happy with what you have..
