My partner has an x-ray scheduled for later this week at our local hospital. He is already anxious about finding the relevant department as he is unable to put weight on his foot and walk anywhere (hence the appointment). Does anyone know if you can request a porter service so you can be wheeled to your appointment or is it just a case of flagging down a porter when you see one? I’m aware it may vary from trust to trust. TIA

  2. Yes you can, if you either call the hospital beforehand or go to reception they’ll get you sorted
