How long after you started losing weight and working out did it improve your sexual performance or didn’t it improve your?
May 22, 2026
Men that have lost weight through healthy eating and working out how long did it take before you saw better sexual performance? I am trying to lose about 30 pounds. Any other tips to improve performance during and after weight loss?

I’m suspicious of the hypothesis. I know big fat party animals that fuck all the time and I know ultra fit dudes who take ED meds.
Doing the plank while thrusting your hips is easier the lighter you are. It’s not magic.
Also less pelvic fat means longer dick.
I think you’re going to have to be specific about your problem.
If you’re talking about endurance you’re naturally going to gain stamina by losing weight and improving your cardio endurance.
It probably won’t help if you tend to be premature or whatever.
The only thing getting into shape, losing fat, and putting on muscle ever did was make it *harder* for me to get laid. Not easier.
I had a much easier time getting laid when I was overweight. As near as I can figure, when I was overweight, women seemed to think that I’d be so slobberingly grateful to have sex with them, that it would secure my loyalty. Now that I’m fit and better-looking, they seem to think I’m a player, and if they put out too quickly, I’ll just leave them as soon as the next pretty face walks by.
I mean, I’m down 70 pounds in the past year and I don’t think it’s changed my sexual performance at all.
But my dating life and hookup options certainly improved.
Its definitely an improvement. Once my cardio and core got to a certain level it became more obvious, and that took somewhere around a year of solid work.
I was 250 lbs 3 years ago and dropped to 181lbs; because I was already in a committed relationship with a woman I did see noticeable improvements:
My stamina went a bit further(2/3 mins prev to 10/15mins now)
I can go for multiple rounds, but I have to reallly want it
I think about it/crave it a LOT more often than I want to
How this would’ve worked for me if I were single I’m not sure, because I never had the best luck on the apps(even though I met my fiance on the apps) and I’m still working on my social skills with complete strangers in unfamiliar environments.
Cardio, not weight loss. (I did lose weight, but cardio is what really helped my performance)
After being on the verge of heart attack at 42, I noticed small changes every 2 or 3 months. It was close to a year before I felt like i was back to my old self.
Worded like an AI post.
I lost 80lbs and work out quite frequently. It just made me have a slightly higher sex drive, the real benefit is for your partner who doesn’t have to look at a disgusting fat blob
I went from 250lbs to 180lbs, not just weight loss but also gained muscle mass. It realistically took 2 years. Changed diet, went to gym 4x per week consistently. A friend that hadn’t seen me since I was 250lbs, the first thing she said was that “you lost weight!”
I asked her how’s that? She responded, that my face isn’t fuller now, and that my face was skinnier around my cheeks and chin.
From a personal perspective, the belly is gone, have 6-8 pack now, and went from size 37W to now 32W.
All this took place right after…. You’ve guessed it, a breakup. But to answer your question, yes performance improved. Your stamina and endurance will improve, as it would with doing cardio. Bloodflow also has improved with weight loss. So, yes hit the gym and get after it
Its more about your blood circulation. If you lose weight but still eat foods that mess with your circulation, then your sexual performance wont improve.
It really depends on if your weight loss has benefited your hormones in my opinion. A lot of people have lower testosterone because of weight.
So it goes to show that people commonly get an increase in their libido when they lose weight. One of the biggest benefits to working out besides the cardiovascular and health benefits is the fact that your brain chemistry improves. It also helps your mental health your libido, and your mood
I went from a very out of shape 205 lbs to a very fit 170 while training for a marathon and sex got worse. I realized I enjoyed being exhausted after sex and when I was at my peak fitness my wife would be done well before I was anywhere near exerting myself in bed. Unless you’re so unfit that you can’t perform I don’t think it makes much difference for most guys.
Most of dysfunction is based in your head
I’m 6’2 (m) 275 lbs. My weight has never effected my sex drive.
Once I transitioned from Obese to Overweight, I think things just naturally got a lot easier for me.
It didn’t. But I can’t improve what I never had to begin with.
Its always been bad
Have your testosterone checked – this may be the cause of your issues.
I’ve lost 85 pounds over the last year and a half. It’s made a huge difference for both me and my wife. Probably the biggest is just having so much less belly in the way. Allows me to get closer if that makes sense. It also more of my tool to be used. Less sweaty, more flexible, etc.
The thing that i found to be the most helpful is having bomb cardio. You want that efficient blood flow, it’s what makes you hard.
Didn’t change my ability to use my dick at all. Weight loss probably gave me back an extra inch, though. And the cardio endurance made it more enjoyable. Also kind nice to be able to pull off certain positions, like 69-ing while standing up (not as fun as it looks, but it adds variety).
Well after losing about 60lbs I went from being invisible to women being receptive to flirting and more. So… 100% increase from celibacy!
Cardio and sleep well
5 months. Weights and cardio, with Keto early on for a boost in results. Went from 190 to 160-ish. Around that time I started dating a very attractive woman and we did it 5 times the first night, kept that up 4-5 times a night every time we got together. After a few months we settled more realistically into twice a day. For reference, before getting healthy I was a once a day kinda guy. Performance was definitely improved because of the endurance, and it made my libido higher. I also think working my core made me thrust better. Looking fit played a large role in me pulling that… fine lady in the first place. Also, the weight loss reduced my ‘fat pad’ and made my dingy-dong look bigger. Bonus.
