I’ve always heard about people online saying hypermasculine traits such as being super muscular and body/facial hair to be appealing to the “male gaze” while more feminine features such as a skinnier body and good hair to be appealing to the “female gaze”. Then there’s the whole argument that more women find Tom Hiddleston hotter than Chris Hemsworth but I’m not really sure if that’s exactly true. It seems that it paints both genders as a single monolith which seems wrong but I guess at the same time there is some truth to it as well?
