Not sure about what to do with this girl (28)I’ve been on a few dates with. For context, I am 27m and this has been the longest “relationship” I’ve been in. We met on dating apps back in Feb. and have been on six dates so far. Nothing too crazy, dinner and/or some activity. We haven’t had sex or even kissed, but we get along really well when we are together in person. She is really sweet and funny and we both have some common interests and perspectives on life.
One thing I will say that might complicate opinions is that we are probably not the ideal long term partners for each other. She doesn’t want kids and I do, so maybe she isn’t taking me seriously when we try to hang out??
My main issue is even getting to hang out with her. It honestly feels like pulling teeth. When I ask her out over text, she responds positively, but making concrete plans always seems to come down to the last minute. For example, her birthday was yesterday and I asked her out to dinner, but she ended up quadruple booking herself (in her words) and we didn’t end up going out which is totally fine. We supposedly rescheduled for today and I even tried setting a time at least. About an hour ago she finally responded to a text I sent earlier asking about her day. She had gone to a doctor’s appointment, so maybe that is affecting things? Anyways, I asked her where she would like to go and what time, and it has been radio silent ever since.
I’m really trying to not be too pushy with her, but I just don’t know what to do at this point. She did mention not seeing my text once, but I am unsure of what would be causing that or how long the delay is (she has an Android while I have an iPhone). I just want to hang out with her even just as friends, but it is so hard to get to hanging out. She does seem interested in me which is what is confusing me. Any advice on my dilemma would be great!
