It's no secret that we are living in a nostalgia-obsessed world in the 2020s. Retro stores had a boom for a while, clothing companies have older characters everywhere, and most of all it's being pushed relentlessly by internet algorithms.

However, there are some things that are "too childish" for a lot of people. Thanks to algorithms during the pandemic I was suckered back into things I enjoyed when I was 3 (and which were generally aimed at 3 year olds at the time). I've since learned people seem to immediately dismiss "very young kid media" as being too childish for them today even when social media bots tell them that they were amazing. There is only other person I know who has been convinced to like it again by an internet algorithm.

What is the line for you, if you have one? What things are too childish for you to go back to?
