  1. Beautiful day in Palermo, clear blue skies and around 21° at 9am.

Lots of birds are flying around this morning, little traffic, all of the jacarandas are in bloom now.

  2. In today’s Fuckery in Turkey news, they like, just closed a university overnight. Just like that. The students were preparing for the finals and now they’re just staring at the ceiling, thinking what the fuck just happened. I can’t really find information on what is going on or why the heck. It’s really complicated. And it shouldn’t have happened anyway because the president has no such right. There wasn’t any preparation anyway. The university was posting on Instagram in the morning and in the evening they were shut down.

I am really baffled by everything.

  3. Dang I keep on having trouble with my glasses sliding down my nose. The handles seem pretty easy to knock out of place by now, so I probably need new ones soon. The eye glass place I went to today adjusted the handles, but also replaced the nose pieces for bigger ones which seemed to make the situation worse. Too bad it’s Friday.

I guess I can wear my safety glasses for now…

  4. Beautiful day in Bucharest. A bit cloudy, but warm, potential heavy raining later today. Gym is full. Government still down. Inflation is at 10.70.

    Have a great weekend everyone

  5. Reading the city’s annual report from 1924 it said that the quote for the new library building was 3,5 million marks. According to an inflation calculator that’s 1,4 million € in today’s money. The library got built in 1925, and it did end up costing about 3,5 mk. It’s fairly big, neoclassical in its architecture, and was described as the “most advanced library in Finland”, whatever that meant in the 1920s.

1,4 million euros, that doesn’t sound like much? For a big building like that.

These days the most advanced library in Finland is without a doubt Oodi in Helsinki, which was built about 90 years later. A great example of post-modern architecture and as a library offers so many services for the people of Helsinki. To build it the cost was around 100 million €.

How is it so much expensive to build now? I mean, inflation adjusted the difference is roughly 100 million. I guess Oodi is a lot bigger, and definitely has a lot more technology in it. But still.

  6. Today is my sister’s birthday. Say happy birthday everyone 🙂

She already opened the present I got her, and we have cake for later.

You may remember, a little while back i mentioned hedgehogs. They came back

  7. New music from Olivia Rodrigo and Charli xcx has dropped recently, I’ve liked both of their previous work so I was eager to check it out.

Listened to Olivia Rodrigo’s newest song The Cure right now, and honestly I don’t care for it. But, the music video on youtube has like a [custom progress bar](https://i.imgur.com/rNxcx0p.png)????? It’s pink and the little ball that shows where in the video you are is a pink ball of yarn with crotchet hooks in it. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this on youtube.

Even if the song doesn’t fill me with high hopes about the upcoming album, the progress bar is cute. I hope this becomes a thing on music videos on youtube.
