34M. Finally had a good break out year working hard. It's my first time to actually enjoy my birthday without prioritising a hole in my boots first. Coinciding with a milestone of 35 I want to go all out.
I've invited a couple of my close friends and one can't make it (no excuse given so just accepted we're not as close as I thought we were) despite telling him months in advance and you can say my best friend since high school who wants to go to another restaurant.
He's the most selfish person I've ever met (but has other great qualities). He wants to change my birthday meal on my birthday to make it more convenient for him 😂
Not going to lie I've lost faith in people.
So alas I'll be going solo (which suits me tbh). However, I recently watched a couple of youtubers and they have these huge surprise birthday parties and I get left with a pang of envy. I don't even have any close siblings despite coming from a large family.
Am I just shit with people? Or are people only interested in you when you are rich, famous or both?
