The reason why I'm asking this Is because when I speak with Americans online I will have an american accent while speaking to them on the phone, but if it's a foreigner in real life I will immediately drop the American accent and switch to a foreign accent, but it's still a soft accent. It feels weird to me to have an american accent while speaking to a foreigner, before you guys call me strange for this: I am a foreigner myself. Maybe it's because I don't want to show off and I don't wanna be seen as a try hard but also because I'm shy, the American accent is the default that I have in general but also when speaking to Americans, the foreign soft accent is the one I have for other foreigners. It feels natural to switch them up for me.
