As a poc do you feel you have to work twice as hard to gain the same level of trust, respect, and success in the West. I've noticed if you are a poc or have an accent people are less likely to respect your opinion or trust your advice in the work place or even pass you up for promotion etc. Even though it may be subtle. I have a male friend who struggles with this everyday even though he's the most qualified person at work. I know based on the demographics of this sub, many men of color on here may not want to voice their opinions or feel their concerns may be dismissed. So apologize in advance.
