I'm a 38 year old guy weighing 76kg.

I workout 4 times a week, resistance and 20 minutes cardio.

I eat fairly healthy, normal portions.

I do like my carbs though, I admit.

I don't drink. I quit smoking 6 years ago, after smoking for 17 years.

Turns out I'm prediabetic. At least according to the lab results. I have a doc appointment next week.

I have no history of diabetus in my family. For what it's worth.

Evidently until then I'm worrying because why not.

I don't really have a point to this to be honest.

Anybody else have experience with this stuff? Any tips?

Edit: Here's some stats

My fasting blood glucose is 93.4 mg/dL

Homa B is at 154%

Homa-ir at 3

And fasting insulin at 13 µU/mL

Example food journal diet

Breakfast(varies slightly, but the general tone is the same – it's easy to make):

2 boiled eggs

33 grams(3 slices) of whole bread

20g chickpea hummus

50g zacusca i have no clue how to translate this

110g smoked tofu

60g steel cut oats

300g soy yougurt

1 granny smith apple

60g cherry tomatoes

Lunch

Chicken/turkey grilled breast

Or some beef or ocasionally some shitty food like pizza

Sidedish is peas + rice or potato

And some fruit, usually granny smith apple or plums

Dinner

Kefir

Tomato + olives + cheese salad

Or

Cottage cheese + blueberry

Snacks

Usually granny smith apple(i really love them)

This adds up to about 180-190g of carbs. It's a lot of carbs mind you.
