When my husband and I were dating in college, we broke up for a year and I remember his mother saying to me that she tried to get him to date other girls but his only response was “yeah, but she’s not ****” and that’s how she knew her son was completely gone for me. We got back together and 23 years later, when I ask him if someone is cute or pretty or attractive, his response without ever missing a beat is “yeah, but she’s not you.” I know I’m super lucky to have someone who basically worships the ground I walk on so that got me thinking if there are spouses out there that thinks like this and is the main reason why they don’t cheat. Or are there spouses out there who think like this and STILL cheat?
