I mean technically im a grown up too by now(M18) but I dont rlly feel like it haha. Anyway I've been working this job for a while now but couldnt really seem to connect with anyone in months. Everyone there is like ranging 21-30 years old. All get along so well and everytime anyone bunps into anyone laughter just breaks out and they start having like very good conversations. I work in a restaurant for context btw.
What my small talk looks like on the other hand is: Whats your name ?where are you from ?and just all kinds of these dry questions. I cant seem to say anything funny cause I cant make disrespectfull jokes that i would rather make with people my age and im always so tense and not very confident. When I try making a joke it just ends in weird forced laughter and the colleagues just wanting to go away from me.
I dont know what to do and how to become somewhat likeable. I feel like im just destroying their vibes like when you wanna go out with friends but have to take your little sibling with you. I just dont fit there and dont contribute nothing to the team besides just the work stuff. I really really want to talk with people and really really want to finally be social.
