I will not be able to attend the funeral or see her in person because i live thousands of kilometers away. There are no formalities with my mum so i already talked to her but what can I say to my aunt over text / the phone? I am not sure if "sorry for your loss" would be enough and I don't think it would be appropriate to ask her if she needs anything because she's an established adult and I'm still in college. I feel like that is moreso something people say between colleagues or friends.
