I’m trying to put myself out there and make a friend, but my anxiety is through the roof. I’m supposed to have a guy over to play video games. He says he’s just looking for friends and has a partner, but he keeps making sexual jokes. When I called him out on being "hotter" than other people, he got a little defensive but then apologized.
He seems almost too patient with my social anxiety. He tells me "no worries" every time I panic. Does this sound like a genuine guy who’s just patient because he works in a high-empathy field, or does it sound like he’s trying to lower my guard?
We both guys and I just really wanna make friends. I’m a 20M he’s 23M, and I have crazy anxiety so I’m worrying. He has half a million Snapchat score and sends images and live snaps with what he’s doing. And actually lives close.
