Heres the big question and then what ive been doing. Is it pointless to look where I have been? Where else do I go or how can I be more enticing to talk with outside of in person? Does anyone have any tips or some point of view I hadn't thought of?
I've been really struggling finding and keeping friends. I feel like im doing everything right and it just always falls through.
I took advice I saw on here and made myself a regular at a "club" type spot, I like to party a little, go to festivals or raves and the next best place is this local bar that my partners friend works at, and then the afters where ever, its free cuz i dont drink.
He is close with this guy, and me and this guy are friends but its definitely my partners friend. Im social at these events, talking and making friends, exchanging numbers, and then by morning we won't talk, I'll text something and no reply. I get it, intoxicated people have a higher chance of doing the morning regrets, but I dont know where else to meet people with the same interests, and there's not a lot to do around because of from Maine USA (a small, very woodsy area) and this is my only spot I go regularly and meet the same people. These people that ghost me in the morning vibes with me, and every week these people will come up to me and chat again, and seek me out so I dont think its a situation where they're like "ewe not this guy again" cuz they find me, but idk anymore
I just want a friend, me and by best friend just ended it in February, and my other best friend is half way across the country, and other then that its my partner, and "our friends" which were all his first and they just vibe with me too. (I love them, they good people, but again, his friend first, then mine…it's different)
I just need help, I know im awkward, and am diagnosed lightly on the autism spectrum, but I talk with people I make connections and by morning they're gone, and I dont think I can find a sober place to go, there's no book clubs or whatever other hobby clubs around that are free, and the bar is free cuz our friend gets us in for music admission free and I dont drink…
