I’m 20F and here’s the thing… i am really excited for this date with a guy and i just wanna share some cute things he does for me. If you want to skip this, you can move to the next paragraph. This guy, the same age as mine, has been my friend since 2 years. We were acquainted at a farewell party and we are good friends. He is pretty good looking but the thing i find really cute is that he carries lollipops, sometimes gummies and candies just for me. He loves me, i think. What gave it out was little things plus this incident. So i was in an accident 3 days before and it was minor but i was hurt. We were together and i wouldn’t stop talking about whatnot and he pulled out a lolly which made me a bit happy (sweet treats for life istg) and i said playfully, “you love me so much”. He fucking said “i do” lmao. That bitch acted nonchalant when he said it was supposed to be sarcasm and in reference to something.
Yeah so i liked him for all the little things he kept in mind for me so i decided to make a move and asked him on a date. But i don’t know what to do. It’s my first date and i am clueless. Should i bring him flowers? Any gift ideas please? I have known him for 2 years so its gonna be difficult to find questions that reveal a lot about him. Can anyone suggest me what i should ask him? What i should do to know for sure he like me or to show him that i like him?

don’t bring him flowers, i know we’re in 2026 and things have changed but imo he’s still the guy, he should be the one bringing flowers. however, if you want to do something sweet for him, get him something like a little sweet snack he likes, but something you can easily hide if he doesn’t reciprocate.
as to questions you should ask, there’s this set of 36 (i think) questions that supposedly make you fall in love, you can google them and there are plenty of websites, and you don’t have to be subtle about them, if you find the conversation maybe stalling a little you can just tell him “hey there’s this set of questions i found, you wanna give them a shot?”. i did this with my fiancé like a year after we were officially together (we were bored on a roadtrip) and we were already madly in love so i can’t vouch for those questions in that aspect, but they were interesting and even though we knew part of the answers it was still nice to go more in depth.
of course, this is just an idea and you should be looking for how he treats you generally, but from what you are saying so far that’s not really a concern
There is nothing wrong witb bringing a guy flowers and should be normalize.
