My wife is turning 30 in about two weeks and I’m starting to panic. She’s been working 50-hour weeks at the hospital and pretty much carrying the house while I’ve been traveling for my new job. Past few years I just did a nice dinner and some flowers from the grocery store, but I feel like I need to get her something that lasts this time. Her birthday is in April, so I’ve been looking at diamond stuff since it’s the birthstone.
I spent way too long on my phone last night looking at different necklaces. I want something she can wear with her scrubs that won't get caught on her stethoscope or get in the way when she’s moving around. I was looking at some of the pendant styles over at Rogers & Hollands because they have some smaller lab-grown ones that looked decent for daily wear. I'm just worried she’ll think a diamond is too flashy for a random Tuesday at work.
She lost one of her favorite silver studs down the sink back in November and she still mentions it once a week, so maybe I should just go with earrings? I don't know if 14k white gold looks too much like silver anyway. I just want to get her something she won't feel like she has to save for a "special occasion" because we barely have those lately with our schedules.
