I’ve been dating this guy for a month now and he’s basically planned all the dates we’ve had which I VERY much appreciate. Now this weekend, I planned a game night for us, I’m bringing Scrabble, I told him I would buy us food this time, and I’m bringing over some records of a band we both like to listen to. I just thought it was about time that I plan a date night for us and he’s been working so much so I thought he’d appreciate a nice low key night as it’s his only day off.
A close friend of mine keeps telling me that sure it’s nice to plan a date like that but that I should not be paying for food for us. I told her I really wanted to do this to show how much I appreciate him and also, I’d like to be the one to treat him for once! According to them, a “real man” wouldn’t let a woman pay for his food and men don’t like to be “woo’ed” but I don’t agree! I don’t mind paying for things every once in a while.
So what are your guys’ opinions on this? Am I right or are they?
