I started dating my gf about 6 months ago. My gf and her guy friend have known each other for about two years now. They would go out to eat, she would ask for ride to work or places when I couldn’t or they would hangout once in awhile with her friends when we started dating. But before they would always hangout together and just recently I found out that he always pays for her. She told me not once has she had to pay him back and supposedly the only reason why is because it’s technically not his money it’s the governments money. Before we started dating they would always go out clubbing together and dance.
I even found some videos on her birthday (which I did not attend) of her twerking on him. I would also see them casually always sending each other memes and reels but when I told about him always pay for her and I ask to look thru there text messages they were deleted. The reason behind it cuz she didn’t want me to get the wrong idea about him by the reels they send each other. She always call me his name when we went out drinking together and she got really drunk and threw up in my car. Saying “I’m sorry… guys friends name”. Am I overreacting when I tell her I don’t want him paying for her anymore and that she’s a grown woman and can pay for her own bills and pay people back when asking for favors.
TL;DR – my gf lets her guy friend pay for her always
