I live in Spain and I’m thinking of doing a family trip to London this summer. I’ve been before, but this time I want to take my kids so they can finally see all those places from their English textbooks in real life, with Big Ben, red buses, the whole thing. Feels like it’d be a fun full-circle moment.
Instead of flying, I’m toying with the idea of driving. Figure it could be part of the adventure and make a few stops along the way, not just rush from A to B. Plus, having a car once we’re there just seems easier with kids.
For the UK leg, I was looking at ferries and even found some Brittany Ferries discount codes, which makes it seem pretty doable price-wise. Just not sure how smooth the whole car + ferry experience is in reality.
Has anyone done something like this with kids? Is it actually manageable, or am I biting off more than I can chew?
