I'm trying to put together a list and a game plan for getting my end of life preparations in order, and one of my sticking points is how much of a fight it would take for someone my age (late thirties) to get a DNR in case I have a heart attack and drop at work or something. Apparently in my state (Texas) a bracelet is binding but only if it has the paperwork to back it up. Unfortunately, I'm also used to the idea of doctors ignoring patients' wishes if they're opposed or don't see the need (mainly due to discussions about vasectomies) and I'm curious if anyone has had any pushback from doctors on things like this?
