So for background, I had gone out on two dates with a guy who had planned and paid for everything. Both dates were great, we made out some after the second date. Both dates were also more “fun” themed vs traditional dinner and drinks, which I appreciated the thought behind. After making out i told him I’d enjoyed spending time with him and wanted to take him out for the third date, which he agreed to. We both had talked about how we loved Thai food and there was a very nice Thai place that I’d been to but he hadn’t.
The place is white tablecloth, long stemmed wine glasses, and was much more upscale dining we’d done so far and I explained this to him. In the back of my mind I wanted to to have a reason to get dressed up, heels, shaved legs, etc to possibly go back to his place after.
I texts him a picture of myself about an hour before he was going to pick me up, I’m wearing a short strapless minidress telling him this was what I was planning to wear tonight. Hopefully an indication to what the dress theme was going to be like.
He shows up to pick me up in ripped jeans, an F1 racing shirt, and red like Kansas City Chiefs red shoes. I ask him did he plan to change and when he asked why I told him this wasn’t going to work and walked back inside. I feel like I tried to make it clear the theme for the night without being like his mom and setting out what he was supposed to wear for him.
