Heard a 10yo relative describe a random stranger as probably being a "pick me" for wearing a boys get sad top (don't think they're aware it's a brand). Her friend later described herself as having a "pick me" moment (for context, they were riding bikes with nobody else around).
I asked what this means, and apparently it's "someone who wants attention".
