Just turned 30 and have dealt with lower back pain for years. I’m active and would consider my self in good shape (150–155 lbs).

When I’m consistent with PT, stretching, and workouts, day-to-day feels mostly fine. However, things like yard work, cleaning the garage/cars, or being on my feet all day triggers tightness and sometimes spasms that basically have me ending my day early but wake up relatively back to my normal self or good enough to get my regular day completed.

Recently started taking chiropractic care more seriously, but I’m trying to set realistic expectations.

For guys 30+: is zero discomfort after a long physical day actually realistic? Or is some soreness just normal and more about managing load and recovery?

Curious what’s been normal vs. fixable in your experience.

PS: Appreciate the comments I have read all of them! Knowing 0 is realistically attainable for men older than me I just need to be more consistent but also patient I would say the last 3-4m I have really taken my core and stretching more serious and the gym so I’ll keep at it with the goal of being 0 pain in the future! Thanks all
