Hi, I hope you don’t mind me asking this. My dad is really worried about me going to my cousin’s wedding in California because he feels it’s not safe for tourists in the US right now. My aunt is retired and lives there on a green card (and my cousin is American), but my dad has been seeing a lot of concerning news reports about ICE detaining tourists.
It’s a big deal for me to go against his wishes, so I really want to hear from people who actually know what the situation is like at the moment – not just what’s being shown in the media.
