My girlfriend and I recently tried to take things further sexually. She’s a virgin and doesn’t have any sexual experience. When I tried to finger her gently, she said it hurt a lot and felt too tight. I stopped immediately because I didn’t want to hurt her.
Now I’m kind of worried. If even a finger is uncomfortable for her, how are we supposed to eventually have sex without it being painful for her?
We weren’t rushing, and I thought I was being gentle, but maybe I’m missing something. Is this normal for someone who’s inexperienced? Is it just nerves? Do we need more foreplay? Lubrication? Or should she see a doctor to rule anything out?
I care about her and don’t want this to become stressful or traumatic. Just looking for advice from people who’ve been through something similar.
