I assume most of you read American classics and British ones, what originally non-English ones you read in high school? In Europe it's often a mix of books from various countries which quite interestingly shows previous alliances, neighbourly influence and what used to be considered prestigious in the past; high school reading lists interestingly mirror geopolitics, one could say.
