TLDR: Anxious about the way he kisses me. Should I communicate with him about it? Or leave it be?
I’ve (23F) been seeing this guy (25M)for a month now, and things are going great! I’m really excited about getting to know him more, and plan future dates together. He’s the first person in three years that I’ve been seeing, we communicate really well, and it feels like we click.
So what’s the problem? Kissing him. We had our first kiss on Valentine’s Day after spending the day with him at his place. I was the one to kiss him first— but the way he kisses me… I don’t enjoy. I felt anxious. He was kissing me too fast. There was no build up, just crashing onto me. I tried leading him, and showing him the way I like to be kissed, but I’m not sure he understood.
I like him kissing me on the cheek, forehead, the softer kind of stuff, but when he kisses me on the lips, I get panicky. Am I just not used to it?
I really, really like him and would hate for this to be a dealbreaker for us… (we’re not boyfriend/girlfriend) Should I talk to him about it? What would you do?
