Hey guys (25m) so i graduated in 2024 and scored an internship with the gov and moved to a different state. However with everything going on i was terminated and moved back to my city with my parents to save money. Now I realized that that’s not what I want to do with my life. While I do have a degree I’m aiming to get into a different industry. In the meantime I’ve been staying with my parents working for a major hotel. I do consider it to be a “transition” period I guess but I just have been feeling like sh** because I’ve been applying like crazy but no response. I’m keeping up hope that I’ll be able to get what I want but idk. Is this normal and ok to be feeling like this?
A little more context, I live in and am from South Florida so it’s really expensive and wages aren’t the greatest but I’m aiming to just start a career while staying at my parents for the time being.
I just feel like shit and kind of a failure… I hate this job I’m at and I just really want to start a career in this new industry. Anyone have this experience or have any advice?
