Did you know you can increase the size of your penis by 2 cm by injecting it with an acid? There’s this accusation against the Olympic ski jumpers going around that they’re doing this to increase the size of their assigned suits so they can fly further. Funnily enough the ski jumpers seem excited to get some attention for their unnoticed sport but are disappointed that it’d had to be this story that did it. The penis enlargement accusation was made by Bild, so I’m not sure how true it is.
Figure skating wouldn’t be figure skating without some drama haha. But congrats to France for their gold in ice dance! To me it was the best performance of the night, with Canadians being a close second.
I am seeing Giulio Cesare in Egitto tonight and I am so excited. It’s my favorite opera but I haven’t seen it live yet (sadly baroque opera is very underperformed compared to 19th Century repertoire). It’s a concert version but I’ll take what I get. I know all the arias by heart and I have no idea how I will contain myself.
Today is Giovedi Grasso here, another excuse to eat stuff..in particular fried Carnival sweet things, like small donuts and other kinda cake/biscuits.
It’s also a very windy day today,in fact the comune has closed the schools and the university for safety reasons.
Not a great start for the Finnish men’s hockey team losing to Slovakia. They went in to the game as favourites, and for the most part were in control, but Slovakia just managed to punish their mistakes and our team couldn’t finish. It was actually a super entertaining game, up until the end of the 3rd period that is when it just got depressing.
Olympic hockey is so good now. For those not invested in the world of ice hockey, now is the first time in three olympiads that NHL players are taking part, which means it’s genuinely just the best ice hockey players in the world duking it out. Of course not every country has a full roster of NHL players, and some stars are injured right now, but it’s just such good quality hockey right now. I can’t wait for Finland v. Sweden tomorrow.
