My [31F] husband [36M] got recently married and it hasn't even been a month yet. We had some of his family members visiting us today and the first thing his cousin's wife said after looking at me was that I look very different from how I looked at the wedding. It didn't have any bite so I didn't take it seriously and just laughed it off. After they left, my husband told that one of his cousins who visited us the day after the wedding had something similar too that he was searching for the bride and realised it was me. It was said in a way to mock my looks. Tbh, I did have makeup on during the wedding but it was very light and I generally don't wear makeup.
I got very upset by this. I know my worth and don't really need people to validate me or my looks. I'm way past that but yes, it did sting a little. But what disappointed me the most was that he did not take my side and mocked me along with them.
I let him know this and also told him in a fit of anger that if he ever mocks me again, hse can do so as long as he doesn't tell me those stories.
He said sorry and stopped talking after that and asked me to stop nagging him when I called him for dinner.
I don't know how to go about this…. any advice?
Sorry about typos
TLDR; Husband mocked my appearance, apologised and now is avoiding me..
