Medication is not an option, this is specifically from my doctor because ADHD meds give me a lot of negative side effects like vomiting and severe weight loss from low appetite.

Recently I was allowed to be a guest on my friends twitch channel for when she plays Minecraft on the weekends there. I’m really excited to be there and don’t want to mess it up because in the past I was part of a toxic friend group who streamed a lot and never let me play with them when they were streaming because they kept saying I wasn’t any good or I get distracted too easily so they never even gave me a chance or tried to support me when I attempted on my own a few years ago.

After a few game nights with this new friend, who is amazing and never said I needed to change anything except one which is what I’m asking about

I have a lot of vocal stims since I have ADHD. This normally shouldn’t be an issue when streaming, except a lot of my vocal stims are songs. That is her only rule for what we can’t say on twitch and it’s completely understandable as it could get her demonetized. She doesn’t rely on this stream for income, but still.

Like at one point we were talking about a lot of pagan gods in the stream because I named my horse after a Lithuanian god. Then we started talking about Norse mythology and it made me just blurt out “Prophecy of Ragnarok, twilight of the gods, no escaping destiny when Baldur’s gone!” Which is a reference to a Brothers of Metal song.

It happened a few times, nothing happened and she didn’t say anything, but I feel bad for messing up. Last time she got a minor strike, but it was from the music in the game and not us. If it counts at all, a couple times I remembered and told others they are singing music, because I’m not the only one in the group with this issue. And another time her boyfriend found that “lava chicken” music disk in the game and kept playing it until I asked if it would be okay since the song was made for and used in the movie and twitch might not like that.
