I had a rep who's last day was today. Luckily he was hired by one of our contractors so I didn't have to put him on a PIP. He had good industry knowledge and the smarts to do the job, but his time management was the worst I'd ever seen. I had lack of response complaints both internally & externally. Several on my team wondered if he had ADHD or possible drug issue, but obviously I could never ask that from an HR perspective. I felt an obligation to try and mentor him after hiring him from an internal support position. It raised his OTE by 40%, but took him from a structured environment to one where he needed to act autonomously. This separation was a blessing.
