I’d like to avoid pharmaceuticals as long as possible. My career is labor intensive with a lot of walking, twisting, lifting, and long hours. Outside of a brace, which I already have, anything that has worked well that has made any significant improvements?

EDIT: Thank you gentlemen for your feedback. I knew stretching and strengthening would help but I didn’t realize to what degree. Biggest takeaways were yoga and Dr McGill. Much appreciated.
