I’ve been talking to this guy for around a year (moreso in the last 5-6 months), not romantically, we’re just in the same friend group. Recently, he’s been making it pretty obvious that he’s interested in me. Lots of comments about how I’m hot, lots and lots of sexual jokes about us, trying to kiss me on NYE, he even said he would ‘grow old with me’ whilst drunk once. Like, it’s pretty obvious.
On the other hand, he talks a lot about being undesirable. Lots of self-deprecating humour and beating himself up about having never been in a relationship or kissed anyone. Sulking about how I’m not interested in him.
I’m not really sure how to tell if he likes me in particular, or if he’s just desperate to be in a relationship with SOMEBODY and has clinged onto me (since he doesn’t have many friends).
I don’t feel like we know eachother well enough to even consider romantic involvement, but also people move at different paces and I like to take things really REALLY slow when it comes to romantic relationships.
